OH no... not anything to do with the post... "why" as in "Why would a goalie even be remotely compelled to do that??"

Did you see the name on the back of Number 16. Can it be possible?

I think that may have been one I remember seeing live in a World Cup game-- Possibly Mexico?

Hmm... if you can tell me a bit about the machine you have and the browser version, maybe I could help. You need a fast connection to the internet to see the clips in a reasonable time. (Cable or DSL, though stealing somebody's wifi works OK on my iphone)

One thing to check is that you have windows media player, quicktime, or realplayer plugins to the browser, but if you can go to youtube and see videos there, that shouldn't be an issue.

If you can't see videos on youtube, the quickest answer I can think of is to download the Firefox browser. It will come with media plugins installed, and is available for all OS's.

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

Hope that gets you started.

Speaking of BYU, and to continue we posters' record-challenging pace, BYU beat Miami FL tonight 1-0. Miami, of the ACC, was 7-0 going into the game. BYU once again demonstrates the superiority of the West.

Miami's RPI going into the game was 0.6319 (reflecting relatively weak opposition). BYU's was 0.5561. So, the RPI, although it's really too early to put too much heat on it, says Miami should have won. Geezer, you're the SoccerRatings guru. If you run this game through his calculator, who does he say should have won?

Never mind, Geez, I just tried out the system myself for the first time. Wow! It's cool. Maybe I should start betting on games. I think I will if I'm betting against the RPI at this point in the season. According to SoccerRatings, BYU had a 50% chance of winning; Miami had a 33.33% chance of winning; and there was a 16.67% chance of a tie.
"You have to be ready to learn things from your players to be the best possible coach. There comes a point when things are going really well when you are learning as much from each other and it isn’t just one way. I’m not sure many coaches ... have a chance to get to that point." Clive Charles

Yah, you caught me in , Uh, hydrotherapy.

Be a little cautious with AJ right now. the last update he shows was 09/06. The predicor part actully says it was updated last in 12/07, but I don't know if that's right.

It probably doesn\'t matter all that much, since the numbers have a big history component anyway right now.

You can also use the ranking table, College Women
100 pts = .68 chance of winning (st.dev?)
Make sure you figure the standard error for each team in your betting calculations. and don\'t forget the 60 points for home field.

Did you see what the calculator said if they were home/away/neutral games?
