Smuelders' eligibility

Has the NCAA officially ruled on Smuelders eligibility yet? I don't remember seeing any updates.

Mmm... I wouldn't hold my breath. First, the NCAA would need to change its rules to allow European kids (who don't accept money and pay for accomidations and travel) to play alongside professionals without losing eligibility. It makes tons of sense and has lots of support, but that's the first step.

Then, they would need to agree to make that rule retro-active.

Then, after that, would UP even be able to submit an appeal. And all that would need to happen within the next year.

I feel bad for Robin and it sucks, but I just can't imagine it working out the way we want it to.
