I know many of you have way too many toys around the house. The toy drive is definitely a worthy cause, and it makes you feel good to donate to kids!

Rev really mixed it up tonight! We saw a lot of van der Mars and less of Riley Barker. We saw more Tanner Riley and less David Carr.
We even saw Eric Waterford (for the first time!), John Bailey and Korey Thieleke... all at once!
Best of all we came away with a W!

Van der Mars made the most of his start. Great scoring touch around the basket. Kevin Bailey finally started hitting some threes down the stretch to put it away. If he can be a legit long-range shooter all the time it will help tremendously.
Didn't get a blowout win but I was entertained nonetheless.

Ryan Nicholas had another strong game, getting 9 RBs. Nem struggled shooting, making only 1 - 8, and 0 - 4 from 3PT. I was hoping his good effort at Kentucky would carry over to more consistent shooting.

Not pretty, but we won by 12, and Rev was trying all kinds of combinations and giving some of the "bench" guys a little extra playing time.
Van der Mars and Nichols took advantage of some good minutes and made some nice moves against an undersized opponent. Thomas scored 19 and Ryan 11.
Mitrovic and Carr did not play well at all (one basket between them), but Kevin Bailey shot 5/6 with three 3’s and some good defense; no doubt a star on the rise.
Tough schedule coming up: another long trip, this time to St. Louis, then back for one day before heading to Boise St.

Re: Lewis & Clark, Tuesday 11/29, 7:30pm
A win is a win, LC played pretty good for a D3 school. They shot the ball well and kept the floor spread.
Is there anything that can be done about the long buffering spells? I know its not the lack of speed on my end, Lord knows I pay enough for my internet, but its annoying. In this day and age (I remember the Abacus) I find it hard to believe we cant get a consistent stream. Ideas? Thoughts?

The student section was a no-show tonight and the "dance girls" are still shaking their green and white pom poms
OK, I've given the new "food booths" and second try; the results were no better than the first. I won't go into the menu, but I will now join dozens of other who will be writing/calling Larry Williams. For gosh sakes, at least offer pasta as an option!!! And give me a cup of coffee with my cookie.

I have a skewed view as a recent graduate but I'm not particularly a fan of Bon Appetit. I was disappointed when I learned that they were running the food booths.DoubleDipper wrote:OK, I've given the new "food booths" and second try; the results were no better than the first. Bigger menus would help too. Even the downstairs concession had a tiny sign even though they have a perfectly good price board they could use.

One observation from watching a few games this year. Our offense is designed to free up outside shooters. We set a majority of our screens from the free throw line extended. That area is very visable to the refs and they are always watching for the moving pick, meaning its hard for the screener to really get into the defender. I would like to see Nem, Carr, Bailey, and Taner better set their man up coming off the screens. We let a lot of defenders play over the top because our guards arent coming off correctly. Take them a step opposite, then explode off the shoulder of your screener. It would result in more open looks and penetration opportunities. I mean we have the biggest 4 man around and our 5's are both broad enough to set good picks.

I am glad to see that John Bailey got his first two points after redshirting last year! Also, while some of the upperclassmen did not have their best performances, it was a pleasure to see the freshmen step up and score (especially VDM in the paint!).
