US Open Cup--What happened to the Timbers?

What in the world happened to the Timbers? First management goes out and pays $ to move the US Open Cup match to Portland for home field advantage, and then the team goes out and loses 1-0 to Cal FC??? Very strange. I´m a Sounder´s fan at heart, but, this isn´t good for the rivarly...or in any way...
