Um, did anyone happen to notice?

The Men’s College Cup final in Hoover, Alabama between Indiana and Georgetown will be broadcast on ESPNU at 11:00 AM PST tomorrow (Sunday Dec 9).

I recall when the Pilots lost to Indiana 1-0 in the College Cup semi-final in (I’m guessing here) 1988 in Bloomington…..I think that’s as far as the men’s team has gotten in post-season play.

The Georgetown vs. Maryland game in the semi was an absolute thriller, one of the best college games I've ever seen

The men also got to the semis in 1995, where they lost to Wisconsin 1-0.

That was the year when UP had both teams in the College Cup. The women got to the final where they lost 1-0 to Notre Dame in overtime.

Clive was flying around like a crazy man.

Ohhh, I didn't need to be reminded of the 1-0 loss to Notre Dame......I still think about that devastating final moment every time I yell, BE READY!

But those were busy times for Clive.....and I think he enjoyed every moment.

Indiana over Georgetown 1-0….a very entertaining National Championship game.

“Against the run of play” is I believe the well worn and usual phrase.

If you’re a keeper and you come that far off your line, you’ve got to get to the ball….don’t raise your hands in disgust at your defenders!

Definitely a mistake by the GK. I suppose you could say a freshman mistake. Would've liked to see Georgetown win just for the sake of spreading the stars on the jerseys around, too many on those Indiana jerseys...
