Wozzie, Enyeart Going to National Team Mini-Camp
Mentioned in today's Oregonian article about the Pilots:
http://www.oregonlive.com/sports/oregonian/index.ssf?/base/sports/1196828746152970.xml&coll=7&thispage=2
Wow!!! Congrats to both players! Could we be seeing three Pilots on the Olympic Team? Now that would be cool.
Anyway... the article provides a good look ahead to next year and a solid recap of the season. And you've got to love this line:

Enyeart and Woznuk were among seven collegians and 16 players from the 2007 U.S. Women's World Cup team invited to the U.S. national team's last mini-camp of 2007. The Dec. 8-12 camp marks the beginning of the run to the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. Lopez would have been an invitee, a team spokesman said, but she is busy preparing to marry former UP pitcher Brian Cox on Dec. 16.

Smith also promised "a great story in the making" with his incoming freshman class of five recruits.

That quote also kinda debunks the thoughts of many that there is a mysterious Ms. X, I believe we already have 5 pegged.

Maybe that's the story in the making....
I notice also that the UCLA game is the Last weekend in August. On its face, that would seem to be an advantage to UCLA. They only lose 2 starters and should be in season form earlier that the Pilots. Maybe the story is that Garrett thinks enough of this class that he thinks we'll beat them with freshmen.
Any way you look at it, it's going to be a great kickoff to the season--and the recruiting season.

Wouldn't it be nice to be a fly on the wall in Garrett's office sometime, I think he and his staff do such a good job of evaluation and how it will fit with this program that I would love to hear his thoughts on what we have coming in.

You'll hear his thoughts on who's coming in, in 2-4 months. He usually doesn't make his announcemnt until March or April. He's very clear in his thinking and easy to understand. I usually hang on to his every word ('cause he's usually right on!).

Re: Wozzie, Enyeart Going to National Team Mini-Camp
Well, we won't hear him say anything about them until at least February 6, which is when the spring signing period starts for soccer. Until the recruits sign an LOI, the school cannot comment about them at all other than in generalities (like Garrett did in today's article).
I know last year they had some info about the recruits available at the season ticket holder banquet, but that was after the signing period.
So we'll just have to be patient!

I didn't know that Stonehouse. I guess season ticket holders do indeed get their perks! Unfornately, not being one, I have to wait until Garrett decides to put the info up on the Pilots website.
I'd love to buy season tickets, join the Pilot's Club, etc.. But as much as I tried throughout my life to be the prince, in the end I was destined to be the pauper.

Is there any feedback from the mini-camp that Angie & Michelle attended?

UPWSRookie - The only thing I could find was also the link that fozzie posted above. I'm sure someone on this board has heard something, and will share it with all of us. I, too, am interested to learn what happened at that mini-camp that Angie and Michelle attended.
In time, there will be something about it on http://www.ussoccer.com , as that is the official site of all the US national teams. (Click on the Teams & Events link on the menu at the left side of the home page. There you'll find links to the men's, women's and youth national teams.) I believe I read that there will be another mini-camp in January and an exhibition match against the women's national team from Mexico.
If I can find something more specific, I'll post it.
