New message indicators disappear?

The dark P signifying unread messages doesn't seem to stay dark for me, well I should revise that it stays dark for me about half the time, then I have no idea what I have read and what I haven't anyone any idea what causes this?

Are you permanently logged into the site?? I know every now and again I get logged out and all the indicators go away... Just an idea...

I never leave! no but really, the dark P went away from the updates section after I went and read a response in the womens soccer.

Are you saying they disappear in that there is a blank space where the dark indicator should be, or the dark "unread" indicator turns white "read"?

Sometimes for me--especially at work--the indicators take a while to download; that is usually the last thing to appear when loading the page (so the space where they should be is blank)... and can take several extra seconds sometimes, if not longer...

The dark turns back to a light P, it appears just fine, it just shows that everything has been read regardless of whether it really has.

Also, if you hit the "back" button in your browser the site doesn't update. You need to click the "home" selection on the site.

I'm gettin' real slow but I had to say something about this.

PN - do I have an old version of Pilot Nation? I've never gotten a dark P for a new message. I get a yellow page icon or something like that. (Oh my failing memory. Gets worse when I am tired. Am I having my first delusion, or are you guys trying out new April Fools pranks?)

I'm going to bed and will read this again tomorrow. (Probably making a fool of myself. That's Okay, though. People tell me I don't have to worry about that anymore. I'm at peace with going nuts... )

On the front page of the forum the Pilot logo "P's" turn purple whenever there is a new message under the specific field, and once you have looked at all the threads with new posts the "P" turns white... Or at least that's what is supposed to happen... Hope that explains

Never even noticed that! I just click on the "new posts since last visit" and check out the topics listed.

I keep hoping someone will have something to say about basketball!
