Elli Reed Makes an appearance on TopDrawer's Team of the WEEK.

I think they are have a bit of disbelief about where she plays, as they listed her as a forward.

TopDrawer TOW

While she has played some midfield lately, she has never been up top.

Call her what you want, just keep putting her on the team.

Congrats Elli! She's been a demon this season.

I found a way to cope with losing the 3 U20's come crunch time. (Well, sort of.): I just look ahead to next season and see that Elli and Keelin will be juniors and Michelle a senior.

Wow! We only lose the Rapinoes, and gain another strong freshmen class.

On paper, we look close to invincible in 2009!

(No, I'm not skipping 2008. Just coping with a difficult situation. Although Garrett appears to be oblivious to any of this. Maybe he knows something about this team we don't. Well - yeah - I guess he probably does. But I believe him when he says we are a title contender this season and every season.)

Whatever the end result of this season, and the looming asterisk of not having key players for the playoffs, it already has brought forth some fine soccer with much more to come. There's no reason for the Pilots to think they can't win it all again ... and again. I try to "be here now" and not project about 2009, but it is a tempting vision.

Right on, Haze. I'm going to take your advice and try to "be here now", and not project into the future.

It's the only healthy way to look at it. And we've definitely seen "some fine soccer with much more to come".

I can really appreciate the "three amigas" during the regular season as they all are remarkable talents. When they leave and the "Big Games" begin, I look forward to our many other talented and hardworking players to fill the gaps and raise their level of play to that of Championship Soccer.
