Another Big LMU Recruit?
This isn't confirmed yet, but if so... holy smokes:

Terrell Vinson, a four star, top 50 players who is being recruited by the likes of Maryland, Villanova, and Duke and who plays at Montrose Christian in MD (Taishi Ito's school... and I guess Kevin Durant is a famous alum too) has apparantly committed to LMU. Well, that's accorsing to some random poster from the Gonzaga board's friend who is close to the Baltimore hoops scene. So obviously, totally unreliable.
But... I know that he visited there in August based on stuff from the LMU board, and Bayno has proven himself to be a pretty dang good recruiter. LMU is going to be really, really good in two-three years. They've already got the pieces in place... lots of guys will be sitting out this year, but next year? Watch out.

I don't know about that two-three year assessment. Top fifty players tend not to stay in college if they have any chance to go pro. The downside of recruiting these highest-level players is that you rarely get to build around them. They are often "one and done".

Stone,
Who would not want to play ball in Sunny SO CAL ? A chance to jump in immediately and contribute with their transfers too. You can get too many selfish players(one ball to share) on one team though. Good luck to them any sucess they have helps WCC. That's what I like about the current Pilots, solid players, now if we could just get a Ravio or Sikma to step up and be the "go to" guy. I' m kinda with up7587 on all the star's they sometimes just don't translate to college. Unless their the one and dones.Maybe I'm just jealous and we could have Greg Anthony back from UNLV this year ,now he was a player.

I don't think the point is this one player is going to make or break the program, but Bayno is an absolute recruiting genius (although has been known to stretch the rules). No doubt he will have that program stocked full of talent in no time flat. And I wouldn't be too surprised if there are several blazers in the house when LMU plays the Pilots if scheduling allows. He was a player favorite and as far as coaches go, a total gym rat. Definitely a good guy to get the once storied program back on its feet...
