Yea for the coaches. As we have said before the other site should be called the Soccer BehindtheTimes.com poll.

It could also be called the Pac10 coaches poll. There are three on the voting panel. At one time there were 5.

Did you notice that Washington State is getting more votes than Washington? Is it just me or does that seem slightly backwards?

That's not as odd as that UW got NO votes. I think their 9-1 record won't hold up.... but NO votes?

Geez, I think you got faked out by the above link... that was from last week's poll. Here's this week:

Washington did get 4 votes... not that many, but still a few. Am surprised at WSU... didn't realize they were doing so well.
And San Diego moved into the top 20 as well - they are 19 now.

5-2-3 isn't exactly setting the world on fire against fairly weak competition. I am almost inclined to think that there is some voter confusion on which school is which.

You are right Stoney, but it doesn't take a lot to fake me out.
Cheer as we might for a local tournament partner, the chance of WSU getting there this year are near nil. UPSF's RPI has them at 76 right now, and it's hard to imagine it will improve during the pac10 season by much. They'll need something in the mid 40's to get in.
Washington is at 22 and Oregon is at 36.

Interesting to note that there are 6 teams that are still undefeated at approximately the halfway mark of the regular season.
