USC-UCLA
This Friday the two teams will play each other in what promises to be an interesting game for us.
It's one of the games that will decide our seeding fate (we want USC to win) and it's also probably going to be the largest crowd for a women's college soccer game in history. The game will be in the LA colosseum, and a crowd of around 15,000 is projected. Over 10,000 seats have been sold.
USC heavily promoted this game all season, and it looks like it will pay off for them.
The only down side is that even 15,00 fans will be lost in the vastness of the venue.

Re: USC-UCLA
The Colosseum can hold 100,000 people. So 15,000 will look like just press and parents. If anyone out of town plans on going to the game watch where you park your car and don't go alone. Also keep your wits about you its a high crime area.

Re: USC-UCLA
Kara had a shot blocked as you pointed out then DiMartino must have been there because she got the assist to Larsen.

SC outshot them 9-5 in the first half, hope they put a couple in during the 2nd half.

I am pulling for USC too, I remember last year how cocky UCLA was going into the College Cup, much like Notre Dame, and being promptly sent home.

The only songs they know are that one and "Fight On." They play them over and over as a form of psychological warfare.

I wonder what's going on in this game. The GT has been stuck on 74 minutes forever. I even logged out and back in and it still says 74 minutes. This game should be way over by now.

This almost always means the home team lost and the gametracker person packed up and went home in disgust.

Re: USC-UCLA
The attendance for the game fell well short of the projected 15,000 I see. Still, the 7804 is the second largest regular season crowd in history, surpassed only by a A&M - UNC game in Texas in 2006 (8204)
Congrats for that.

Re: USC-UCLA
They claim they had about 15,000 presold. That means 7,996 people paid not to see this game. That is more than actually went. Its a shame but that is LA.
They had to try this at USC's place because Bruin fans do not support the team. Its really kind of sad because they have such a great team year after year.
