WCC website going downhill? Empty WCC website going downhill?

Post by Geezaldinho Tue Oct 21, 2008 7:15 pm

Has anybody else noticed that the WCC website isn't keeping up with the soccer season?

The last weekly soccer report is from 10/08, so we can't see who the players of the week were for the last two weeks, and if the game reports are to be believed, the last games were on Friday. The last soccer PDF has us at 9-1-0. I think we might have won a coupe games since then.

It may not just be soccer. as you recall, the basketball news conference was also botched.

Time for a new webmaster?

I haven't actually noticed that, but your point is taken. The conference has had a big shake-up in its staff over the past summer and I know that Will Kiss, one of the conference SIDs, left... maybe they are still kind of feeling all of that out.

No excuse for the basketball news conference though... that was a big bummer. Still, sometimes technology lets you down and there isn't much you can do about it.

I know I was not pleased with the BB news conference. Though I realized there will sometimes be sound difficulties the WCC really missed the opportunity on what have been quite a comng out for the NEW annual event in Vegas, let alone the team previews for a "hardcore" College BB fans. Well maybe next year.........

Chaucer is the most recent book they have in the whole retirement community. Also, they don't turn the lights off here in the ward at the Retirement Castle - makes it hard to sleep.

explains a lot, huh?

The thoughts about the WCC site going downhill are certainly confirmed by what's on there now about women's Soccer:

"WCC Weekly Women's Soccer Recaps. All eight schools opened conference play Friday. Oct. 24, 2008"

Clearly, whoever wrote that line has no idea what's going on in the WCC Women's Soccer world.

Something has gone amiss with the site and something should be done about it. But by whom, I know not.

Five games in a weekend is quite a lot, even for a team with the talent of the Pilots. Wink
