LaSalle alum in the Oregonian
I know some of you went to LaSalle, so I thought I'd mention a column by Andy Parker I read today.
Brigham Baker, a LaSalle grad, is the second-year football coach at Estacada. They went from 0-10 not long ago to first place this year, and they play LaSalle Friday night at PGE Park. It really makes you feel good to read about these players and how much fun they have.

Ha ha... Brigham Baker! Great guy... was a QB for the team when I was there. His dad is/was a terrific coach - LaSalle had its best years under him and then he went to Clackamas where he turned that program into a powerhouse. I think they made the finals a year or two ago.
I thought I heard that he's not coaching there anymore though...

Coach Baker was at Cleveland HS last year, and is coaching at Sandy HS this year. He's had a couple prominent mentions recently in the O.

Baker (Ray Sr.) is a great football coach - of course, he also had excellent assistant coaches too - something that is way undervalued in football. Brigham was a good guy. I'm glad he's doing well at Estacada, but I hope they LaSalle beats them.
More importantly, when will LaSalle basketball get back to where it should be!!!!!!!????????!!!!!!

As soon as Matt Wiege and Nick Kirkwood's children are enrolled, the Falcons will more than likely be stuck in the doldrums of HS basketball...

Re: LaSalle alum in the Oregonian
Oh man... ever since Cleghorn got basically forced out by the New AD O'Brian it's been bad news.
Actually, it feels like all of LS sports went through a doldrums for a while. But I think it's coming back now... the new football coach is awesome, they've got a good new soccer coach, seems like XC and volleyball are doing well... it's nice to see.
Now, I don't know if they're going to win multiple state titles every year like we did when we were there, but hey... they should at least be pulling in the conference championships, that's for sure.

You mean Steve "Ned Flanders" Landers?
I think instead it would be Kevin "Marion" Berry.
