I hadn't seen this posted yet, so I thought I'd link our man Graham's post-match blog entry on ESPN:

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?name=college_sports&catID=Sport~602~602&catDesc=NCAA+Women+Soccer&lpos=spotlight&lid=tab1pos3

An excellent wrap up from a self-styled outsider who I might imagine is becoming rather enamored with our beloved program. Well done.

I'm right there with him on the Rapinoes. Send the man a scarf.

The article mentions the sound system going out because of the ESPN equipment. That's good, for I was ready to get all fired up... again... that our formally unreliable sound system was not updated yet. I heard that ESPN is still using Betamax tapes and eight track tapes for their video and sound. That must have been the conflict with our new updated system?

They are not exactly Betamax tapes but they are in cartridges. Remember our discussion about the phenomenon of"capture" and the havoc it causes on wireless mikes. They should use the wired mike to the PA.

They really should do some sound checks with 5,000 people there it is really a disservice when the PA becomes part of the game story for Senior Day and the SCU game.

Now I keep referring to "they" because I don't know which of "us" is responsible. Are there any recording artists in the music department that could help out?
