Still waiting for some of the other polls to come out (especially the NSCAA coaches' poll), but it's still pretty darn exciting.

Coaches poll just released... and the Pilots are a convincing #1 with 20 of 30 first place votes.

But looking at the number of points we received, something screwy is going on. Either four coaches voted us No. 3, or one or two coaches really sandbagged us and voted us 5 or 6. Ridiculous. That happened to UP at the end of last year as well, and it's total BS.

I could maybe understand one or to No. 3 votes, but four? Or possibly one or two coaches voting us lower than that? Absurd.

It could be that yesterday's win over OSU wasn't on the voting ballot. NSCAA has us at 1-0

The whole poll is for members/subscribers, apparently, but UP is one, Texas is 5, NC and UCLA drop to 6 and 7.

Having resoundingly won the beauty contest, I would like our ambition to be a little higher. If we are still numero uno by mid december, well then, let the celebration begin. Of course, unitl then, teams will be gunning for us, particularly UO, UCLA, USC and SCU. I think these young ladies are up to the challenge . . .Go Pilots!
