Hmm...

Portland loses only Megan and Rachael Rapinoe.

Or from Brandon:

• The Pilots enter the match on a 19-game winning streak, despite having only one senior, Megan Rapinoe, on the field nearly all season.

so... will Korie come back? or are they misinformed?

I don't know this first hand but I can't see why Korie would have taken the acknowledgment on senior day if she was going to be around next year. It seems that it would be ackward to take senior day twice or being sitting on the bench for it? Never know though. I would love to see her back for sure.

I agree with Auto, though I don't don't for sure. If I could get to a practice I would ask Korie, but that never seems to happen anymore.

I'm going to believe, unless I hear otherwise, that Korie is gone after this season. Sad

I'd also have to agree with Auto, but it's interesting that the official team roster that's posted on the Pilots' web site lists Kori as a junior.

As for Korie... she is a junior in terms of eligibility since she red-shirted last season. But she is a senior academically and is planning on graduating and not returning to play next season.

That's why she was honored on senior day, but is also listed as a junior.

Really it's the same for both Rapinoes - they could both apply and receive a sixth season of eligibility due to their medical hardships. But neither will... they are graduating and moving on as well.

This is what Dani said about Garrett's recruiting pitch...

"Coach Garrett Smith had a simple recruiting pitch, Foxhoven says: 'He wanted people to come here who wanted to be here. They’re not going to beg people to come here. That’s what made it so great for me. They weren’t begging me to come here.'"

After all that I read about high-pressure recruiting, it's amazing that Garrett's pitch is so lightweight. I guess a good program sells itself.
