FYI - today is a day of prayer and penance

As January 22 is the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, today is to observed as a day of prayer and penance. This is perhaps especially important today given President Obama's support for the Freedom of Coice Act. Point taken. I use the "posts since last visit" function, so I often don't even pay attention to the categories.

I just would really like to have one place were politics doesn't intrude. I have strong political opinions, and I would rather enjoy discussing Pilots sports without having to react to other people's equally strong opinions.

I think any sane discussion is okay for the "General Discussion" category... thats why we put it here... to keep the rest of the forum free from non-sports topics.

The [ img] feature isn't broken. Some servers don't allow you to link pictures or other media directly so they can keep their traffic down. once they sense that multiple hits for a picture are coming from the same source, they shut down. You might get a picture the first few times, but then you'll just get your code. Some sites will even notify you to host the image yourself.

You have to host the picture yourself with the "host an Image" feature and link to it.

I've been burned by this a couple of times.

I'm gonna have to say that any sane discussion can take place on the General Discussion board. Sometimes, nay oftentimes, there are topics that I would like to discuss with friends (like how to deal with a crazy uncle or something ) , and because I have none, I turn to my internet friends

But seriously, I think the general discussion board is a really cool deal. And generally, I would say everyone on here is pretty sane about posting around "sensitive" issues.

And I was so proud of the Batman Light...

Odd that we see the Batsignal under a prayer and penance thread. Well I guess its these loosely related connections that keep things interesting.
