Congrats to Pilotnut for putting in a hard month and breaking into the 1000 poster club. He now gets to change his category to Administrator!
Kinda makes you wonder why he put in the hard work, doesn't it?

Well, you are entitled to the perks, so give yourself a key to the 1K clubroom, choose your Barcalounger, and pick which beer you want in the fridge.

BTW, you're just in time on the vote as to whether we should get one of these what color we are getting for the clubhouse.

Well, I guess it's time to put an order in for another fur-lined recliner. I've got my Stiegl, Geezer has his Pliny and FANatic has his... well shoot, I don't remember what FANatic's beer of choice is. Embarassed

So what's it going to be Nut?

PilotNut cracks 1K club Empty Decsions, decisions!

Post by PilotNut Wed Feb 11, 2009 11:22 am

Well, since I wont have to sneak in and grab any of Geezer's Pliny anymore (it's easy--after he has a couple, he tends to Sleep in his recliner), I will put in an order to import some Boreale Blonde from Montreal.

I drank a bit (read: drunken ) of the Blonde when I was up there about 18 months ago, and thought it was the smoothest, tastiest beer I had consumed (I know its a blonde... but it was about 95 degrees and 90% humidity there at the time...) Unfortunately, I have not been able to find it anywhere south of the border. Sad

Until that clears customs, I can be happy with some Drop Top Amber (a.k.a. deliciousness in a glass) from down the street at Widmer. Very Happy

It's gonna start getting expensive when I join the club... My fave beer comes from a wooden barrel, crafted by the Augustine monks of Salzburg, and consumed by the liter from clay mugs... Stoney knows what I'm talkin about....

uh, I mean, Congrats!

The Pliny isn't safe anymore.

Come to think of it, the Schmidts is probably in peril.

That's it - I'm moving the Pliny to the 3K skybox.

So - Are you also declaring Pliny, or do you have your own brand for the fridge?

Take your time on the BarcaLounger model - that's too important for a snap decision.

I'm gonna have to think about it.... It's either Augustiner Bier (But getting the wooden barrels shipped in could be a problem), Pliny the Elder, Guinness, PBR or Rogue Morimoto Hazelnut Ale....

As for the Barcalounger... All I have so far are black leather with the UP logo stitched in the head rest, and one arm needs a chilling coaster big enough to hold my stein, and the other of the standard size to hold keg cups and/or bottles... I'll have to work on the rest of the specifications....

Congrats and welcome to the Club, DTR. Your fruit basket is on it's way, and will get you the access key to the lounge shortly.

A chilling coaster? You planning on nursing those beers? A warm beer just means you arent consuming it fast enough...

drunken

DTR, how about PBR delivered in pitchers directly from the T-Room and served in a plastic cup? I don't know if it gets any better (especially if you are lounging on a Thursday)
