NIT

I think I know the answer to this, but is there much chance - if any - of an NIT bid? It would be great to play a couple more games...

right on the bubble, I think. There are teams above the Pilots in the RPI that would be eligible, but they have losing records and are by rule ineligible for post season play. Realistically, the CBI looks more likely.

Still, it's post season. When's the last time that happened? (don' bother, I know).

What's the CBI? Let me guess - College Basketball Invitational? Is this a new tournament?

I hate to be the wet blanket, but the NIT really doesn't seem realistic at all... If the selection criteria was based purely on performance and record we might have a shot.

Unfortunately the NIT looks at thinks like attendance, alumni base, and the revenue potential... We just aren't really there this year. I'd say next year if we maintain a similar level of play, and have a few more non conference victories we would be in the picture; even if our attendance stayed relatively the same.... That said if we do that, we might find ourselves looking at a very different bubble...

The CBI is a new tourney made up last year...
