The new logo UP has is not the worst logo onplanet earth, but it ain't what it could be.

Nike had to much fun with this, they are getting a little to "logo happy"

I actually agree - it's not bad (and growing on me) but it seems to be missing something, particularly the Big P.

I love the old wheel, can't really understand how a few changes couldn't have got a trademark...but that probably isn't as "cool" as starting something from scratch.

Apparently, they couldn't just change the old logo because there was several hundred logo's for various groups that looked similar. So for them to aggressively market the schools athletics program, they had to start from scratch.
