Freddy Montero is making a name for himself...
Freddy Montero, one of two Columbians on the Sounders FC has been developing great chemistry with Jaqua up front and is really looking like a great player not just for the Sounders, but, internationally so far. He was MLS player of the week after scoring 2 goals in the opener, and he scored again against Real Salt Lake yesterday even though he was a marked man. In addition, he scored several goals in preseason and in Argentina. Since he's on loan, I'm hoping he stays more than just a year. It's interesting seeing him play with Jaqua since the two are radically different Jaqua, a taller player who is good in the air, and Montero, a shorter player with a low center of gravity and a knack for the goal. I hope that both are still with the Sounders FC when the Timbers come into the league...
