That is really awful. Get well soon, Megan!

I've thought that the Pilots without a Rapinoe is like A.S. Roma without Totti. But Roma had some of its most incredible winning streaks playing great football after Totti broke his leg. And we all know what he went on to do the summer after his recovery. Wink

Shannon Boxx came back from back-to-back ACL tears and is starting in the World Cup now, so I'm pretty hopeful for Megan.

A great shame.

Lets pray she can bounce back .

Megan is right up there with the best players we've had the pleasure of watching.

She one of those rare players that makes her team mates better just by being on the field..

Here's praying for her full recovery.

Awwwww....CRAP!!! This can't be?!? What an unbelievable and sad sad set-back for Megan! I've been a zombie myself. Just mulling around since I learned of the news. It just won't sink in!

So...what becomes of her eligibility to play? Since she already red-shirted, does her lost season carry over? Will she still have 2 more years left to play? I'm thinking not... but anyone know for sure?

Hang in there Megan! Get well!

Megan has another year of eligibility left. Because she redshirted already, She's listed as an athletic Junior. She also is eligible for a waiver of her clock for this season, as she meets the 3 criteria under rule 14.2.4 that covers that. Theoretically, she could play 2 more years.

Rachel didn't redshirt, so she's listed as a Senior and requires a waiver for this year. She'll get that, as she meets all the criteria under the same rule.

Also, there is a waiver of the clock if it was for Olympic or National team comp. but that's so poorly worded I can't tell if it applies.

Good stories, but it should be noted that all three of Megan's ACL's were on grass, at Merlo, UW, and the crappy practice field in Hawaii.
