Portland commit impresses
I saw this little blurb on Keith Shamburger.
Gotta love a squad called the California Supreme Black Squad. No lack of confidence there....

The University of Portland got a commitment early in the spring from 5-11 Keith Shamburger (Gardena, Calif./Serra) and his play during the week for the California Supreme Black squad was exemplary. He has always been an a capable scorer (via his penetration ability and his jump shot) but his floor leadership and decision making were major elements in his team winning the title. Shamburger is looking like quite the pickup by Pilots' coach Eric Reveno and his staff.

Well if he's any good at defense, the OBVIOUS nickname is The Shamburglar...
I really hope he has a penchant for steals...

Peeps, you heard it hear first... Keith Shamburger is the single most important recruit we've signed probably since Pooh Jeter. I know you could argue TJ, but since we'll have Keith for four years I give him the nod. The kid is legit. He will be the key to keeping the momentum of the program going well beyond the Raivio/Campbell years.

Re: Portland commit impresses
I hope your right. I need to review how he did this summer before I get that fired up. I'll have to check with Greg Hicks from the recruiting services because since his verbal I reALLY havent followed him like I should have this summer.
Let's hope your right, the Pilots have many "solid" players but your right after TJ and Nik leave next year they need another "go to" type guys who can create a shot for the Pilots.

ShamWow could work... If only I didn't immediately associate it with the pitchman's infamous extra-curriculars.... And for that reason I gotta side with 7587 on this one...
