frankie
i'm not one to start rumors, so i wouldn't say anything if this weren't from a very credible source...but apparantly frankie flunked out of school and thats why he wont be playing with the boys come the fall. if this is true, which i'm almost certain it is, its sad to see this happen to such an athletically gifted kid like frankie.

Re: frankie
Yeah...... don't know exactly what the reason is, but Frankie definitely isn't returning, definitley didn't go pro, and definitely didn't transfer to another school. So adding all that together, that sounds right. Sad indeed.

Re: frankie
Sad, I really enjoyed Frankie's play this past season. Arguably the most dynamic offensive player in the last 5 years or so... probably 1A and 1B with Alex Elliot. Wish him luck wherever he ends up.

My son hosted Frankie's visit when he was being recruited, Frankie seemed like a really good kid. I "thought" he was rostered with the Timbers U23 team. Anyway, I'm sorry to hear he won't be on the Bluff! That's a big loss.
As for the quality of play from the quote above I won't argue they were/are talented players who excelled in the D1 college game..But many factors come into play when ranking players offensively or defensively. Alex is currently a substitute player on a 4th league German team ( at least he was last year, not sure if he's starting now) and we need to see what the future holds for Frankie...

Frankie was on the PTFC U23s this season but was not on the roster for their playoff game last month.

At least we can all watch him on Liga Mexicana on Univision next year. He'll get more air time than most players in the MLS (in cities other than Seattle, at least...).
