who's watching now?

I made another periodic check to see who's on line again and from where.

Mesa's interesting enough when he's on, but I thought this one was even more interesting.



It's on the slopes of Mt Carmel, Haifa, Israel, which is cool enough. Then I thought I'd see what was at that spot, and came up with this:



It's the Bahai Gardens, a holy spot for that faith on the mount.

Pretty cool.

I never knew about that feature. Although, it identified me as being half a country away from where I actually am.

Nonetheless, I totally believe that the Bahai Gardens are watching.

I would like to post from the top of the San Francisco Peaks (In AZ). Unfortunately, instead I post in the desert from next door to a 55+ "resort" community that includes many ameninities for the Geez and others. Shuffleboard,Tennis, Indoor & Outdoor Swimming Pools, and Swing Dancing on Thurs. Night. Now don't ask me how I know all this information,I've never jumped that wall to my south and snuck in....yet. Bring your trunks and the wife and maybe you and I could jump the wall and let the better half in through the gate,lol. It's pretty nice at 72 degree's during NOV-APRIL. "I'll keep the light on".... Silly question, Where do you get the "from where" information? It does not show up in the who's online section. (At least I don't see it there.)

Click on "Who is Online" and it brings up a map.

Having just found this feature, thanks to this post, I am intrigued to see where people are logging in from. Currently:
Portland Area
California
New Mexico
Minnesota
Kansas
France
Rome (me)

You can click on the little arrow things, too, and it will tell you who it is (if they are a registered user and are not "hidden"). When I check in here from work, it shows me as being in MN, but I promise I am in OR (the company mainframes are in MN).

I saw that it said you were in MN, I thought that was odd. I logged in from school today and it said I was in the very south of Italy. I have no idea why.

ahh, I had script blocking turned on in firefox, so that feature did not show up.

It is funny where different IP addresses get mapped to (MN, Calif, etc) because of corporate Networks. This also probably explains why ShipstadPilot11 was in "the very south of Italy" instead of Rome.

Yeah, I'm not sure why my school mapped there. It isn't a sattelite campus or anything. My apartment doesn't map correctly either. Funky IP addresses... (or something).

Yeah, I always show up at Moffet field where I guess the Quest servers are, and when I was in Argentina, it always showed me on the top of the obelisk on nueve de Julio, even when I was on the pampas.

But it's still fun

That one isn't so interesting, though. It's shown to be on a trolley car at the main car barns. I heard times were tough there, too.
