Pepperdine/LMU Weekend
What's the matter with you? TOmorrow is gameday and there hasn't been any mention of the upcoming games. Have Pilot Nation Posters hit a mid season slump? Are they overlooking this weekend? Is there a party going on that I wasn't invited to?
Nudge: can the Pilots make their magic work on a narrow field with a view of the Pacific? Will they wilt under the hot sun of a Fall heatwave?

Re: Pepperdine/LMU Weekend
Just waiting with eager anticipation.
From what I can figure out, the Pepperdine game will have only live stats. The LMU game will have game tracker and also live audio. Does anyone know anything different?

about Pepperdine
OK folks, here's a few of the facts
The Waves are 7-4-1 right now. Their big wins are Marquette(9-4-2), Tennessee (7-5-1), Sac State (6-3-3), and Utah (7-7-2).
They also beat Houston, Hawaii, and Bakersfield, who all have losing records.
They lost to UCLA, Arizona St, Kansas, and Long Beach St, which has a losing record.
Pepp has been doing it on defence (that's for Stoney). They have allowed only 9 goals all year, and even held UCLA to 2 goals (scoring none). Their downside is that they have only scored 11 all year. They tied LMU 0-0 last week in their only conference game.

Re: Pepperdine/LMU Weekend
Any definitive word on why MO didn't play last week?
Also wonder if Kassie plays this week-end, and if so, how many minutes?
Maybe they'll bring back Cloee for the last two conference games: at SCU on 11/1, and at home against USD on 11/6.
BTW - both of those games will be nationally televised on channels I don't get. SCU on Fox Soccer Network, and USD on ESPNU.
But first Pepp and LMU. ALL conference games are crucial, if we want to potentially control our own destiny.
Maybe see some of you in Chatbox at 3pm. We can stare at the LiveStats together! (Always love that...)

Wow ... now up to 6-0 Pilots, with a pair each for Enyeart, Burk and Kreminski. There goes the Pepperdine goals against average.

It's 6-0 in about the 80th. I prefer this to the drama of last year's Pepperdine game.

A massive dose of scoring off the bench -- that's a great sign when the younger subs come in and finish their shots.

Re: Pepperdine/LMU Weekend
it's great to see halley finally find her scoring touch after so many wide open shots missed this year. she reminds me so much of sophie with her strength. as for charney, i have always loved her. i think she gets a bad rap from some who think she shoots too much. all i can say, if you dont shoot, you cant score. personally, i would like to see all of our gals shoot more, especially when they get near the box. they try to be too fine with their passing in close.

Re: Pepperdine/LMU Weekend
Great! Loved that Michelle earned a few more points tonight!
I wonder if she tried that "full-run" through the defense again....(like she did at the start of the game vs the Zags). I think the Zags (plus everyone else)....thought she would eventually pass...but she was like the everyready bunny and kept going! ...That was sweet! That was certainly telling of the kind of night the Zags were in for. Woudl've been awesome if she could've finished it with a shot to the back of the net!
I didn't check...but after last weekend...they must've given Dani the night off?
GO PILOTS!!!

Re: Pepperdine/LMU Weekend
29-1 in goals advantage in our latest six consecutive wins.
Before those six wins? Our only loss of the season: 1-3 to TAMU at College Station, Texas. Now THAT is bouncing back from a loss!

Pilots need to keep the same killer attitude against LMU. No letting up now. Make everyone fear their firepower.

Re: Pepperdine/LMU Weekend
Does anyone know if Hailee DeYoung is nursing some kind of injury? It seems like there have been some opportunities recently to get her some playing time, but it hasn't happened. Or?
