Captain Wally's Pre-Game lounge

I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised at some new traditions and a returned focus on game/event management. The environment in Chiles should be much improved this season!

I am a huge fan of the new Captain Wally's Pre-Game "lounge" in the Hall of Fame Room in Chiles Center, being coordinated with the Alumni Office. Captain Wally's will be open prior to every men's home game, with Widmer beer and hot dogs available for purchase, plus a coaches chalk talk 40 minutes prior to tip-off.

Get there early, we all know that space in the HOF room is limited... and if certain PN members get in front of you in the beer line, I cant guaranty there will be any left...



Access to Captain Wally's Pre-Game is limited to season ticket holders, alumni & friends of UP. This means you must have your UP Alumni & Friends Benefit Card to get in!!



For those of you not familiar with this new-ish card, it is a credit-card sized plastic card (which replaces the old paper cards) and is available only through the Alumni Office. This is the same card that offers the discounts, etc. at UP sponsors. Contact the Alumni Office at 503.943.7328 or email to alumni@up.edu prior to attending this week's game to make arrangements to get your card! More information on the card is here.

Very cool...I better call to get my card. We need stuff like this to build more and more support and to prevent GU fans from invading the Chiles.

So we are UP season ticket holders but not UP alumni. We order a card from the alumni office?

It is the Alumni & Friends card... I have been told that you need the card to get in (I cant imagine that they wont be a little flexible the first couple games at least)... Maybe see what they say tomorrow night...? If you have a Pilot Club card, I cant imagine they turn you away.
