Sunday vs. LMU
Impressive win by the men against the Lions Sunday. Or was it? Was it just the opposition (LMU is 2-7-1, 0-3-0) and the fact that they had a man advantage for most of the match? I'm not quite sure what to think. They controlled the run of play well and their passes were mostly crisp and timely. It was nice to (again) see the utilization of the midfielders, which is in rather sharp contrast to recent years. Warner is going to be a stud with his playmaking ability.
I don't think the men came out focused at the start of the scond half. They looked lackadaisical on the turn over which led to the Lions' shorthanded goal. It looked to me like we had three players staying back with their defenders when they were streaking up the field with numbers. But they definitely shored up after that and controlled to the finish.
