The Pilots have to watch out for Louella Tomlinson, who broke the single-season and carreer block record on Thursday, now possessing 166 blocks on the season, 483 in her career and nearly had a triple double with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 9 blocks on the 16th.

36-20 SMC after 20. Don't count out the Pilots, as they trimmed a 19 point deficit thanks to 3s, fouls, stingy defense and a little luck.

Now if only SMC could get their livestats working , this would be great!

A hard fought, close and exciting game that could have resulted in a weekend sweep if a few possessions had fallen their way. It felt like the Men's GU game at the Chiles to start conference play: opponents go on run, get in bonus early in the second half, and the contested 3 attempt to tie from near the logo that falls short. It inspired strong play for the men, so who knows?

I do have to give Louella Tomlinson her propers for her double double of 13 pts and 14 Rebounds and her defensive presence giving the Pilots fits inside the key all game.

The Pilots host Pepperdine and LMU to round out the home slate and Laiken's home career! Come to the Chiles Center Thursday @ 7 and Saturday @ 2, which is prone to a larger crowd due to Junior Parent Weekend and cheer them on!
