OSU beat ASU 1-0
UO bear U of ARiz 4-0
Huskies, though outshot, are leading UCLA 1-0 at the half. (It started at 8:00)
What I like especially is that according to the GoCourage site, we are #1 in unadjusted RPI, ahead of Stanford by exactly .001. If Huskies hold over UCLA the advantage should be greater, and should last at least until tomorrow night. Get it while you can.

the adjusted RPI isn't as good.
Stanford .7307
Portland .7014
but we get a little closer if UW wins and Hawai'i looses (now tied in OT with
Nevada)
remember Hawai'i is the cupcake Stanford chose to open the weekend with us.)

Well that's what happened at Cal. But Leroux was not named to the latest version of the National roster; Morgan is the only college player on it. Check the UCLA stats, I think Leroux has played 70-80 minutes in all these recent UCLA games.

Re: Other scores - Week 10
In the second half Washington did not lay back to protect its one goal lead, but continued to attack and threaten, while it didn't seem that UCLA ever got a truly good shot off during the second half. UCLA is definitely not the same team as in years past, as demonstrated by its 7 losses.

Re: Other scores - Week 10
UCLA's fall from grace this season shows how nothing can be taken for granted, and how fine the line can be between wins and losses. UCLA has talent, speed, reputation -- and too few goals for. Not that I will shed any tears for the Bruins. Just a cautionary tale for anyone who assumes that dynasties don't hit dry spells.

Yikes! I just got home to check scores...
Santa Clara lost today to LMU 0:2
What's worse, Henninger got sent off and will miss the season finale against a tough Pepperdine team.
It will certainly be Gut Check Time for the Broncos next week. they were on the bubble for a seed before the game. (19 now)

the article quotes Jerry saying Senior day was one of the reasons they lost. Well, maybe, but looking at minutes played, there wasn't any disproportionate allotment of minutes than any other game. 4 of those seniors have the most minutes on the team.
Jerry did credit LMU for wanting the game more and winning on the road. That's probably a tough admission to make.

I think he's saying that it's too bad they lost on senior day.
"It's unfortunate for us that we didn't play well for a lot of different reasons; one being that were still trying to position ourselves for a good seeding in the NCAA tournament and another that it was senior day for our five seniors."

Maybe you are right. I took it as one of the reasons they didn't play well, but it could as easily be read as why it was unfortunate.
Ambiguous wording, though. Blame the writer.

topdrawer loves the Beavers
It doesn't mean much this late in the season, but TopDrawerSoccer usually has the first weekly ranking out and I check them all anyway.
He has the Beavers at #6 in the country, behind Stanford, UP, UNC, Maryland and Florida. That's pretty amazing since I'm pretty sure he didn't have them in the top half of tournament field at the beginning.
Maybe he does pay attention a little to what is happening in the West. The Beav's are currently 17 in the ARPI. it looks like we will lose them as a host partner to seeding even if they lose to Stanford.
