Seattle U Going Independent

Pretty interesting article... talks a lot about why the WCC turned down expansion.
It's tough because I truly believe expansion is in the WCC's best interest, but I suppose it does make sense to wait and see if Seattle U can really put in the investment to make themselves competetive at the D1 level.
It may take a few years, but perhaps by 2012 or so the WCC will feature Seattle and Pacific.

Interesting article. I don't know...it seems to me that adding Pacific would be a huge boost, and perhaps SU would be a roll of the dice. But if both wanted to join the WCC, I would think we would take SU if it meant Pacific would join. Pacific would help us get 2 teams into the tourney year in and year out. I don't know, maybe not.
