MLS changes bode well for local talent...

The rule change that expands roster sizes to 30, allowing for as many home grown players as teams want on their rosters will be a positive for Timbers and Sounders fans. The northwest has such a thriving little league and select league program. Seattle and Portland have incredibly active programs with the most players participating per capita relative to their population sizes. Former UP players Kasey Keller and Michelle French are frequently on Washington state soccer promotional ads here, and I can't wait to see how the local players who come aboard the local teams. I would imagine many U of P players will be right in the thick of this...
