Big Ups to Kramer
For all the buzz around Jared and Luke and Nem, I think not enough love has been sent Kramer's way for this season's very encouraging and exciting success. Probably because the big fella is so reliable and always does the dirty work and has been doing it since day one his freshman year.
But his numbers are very deserving of mention: he's averaging 7.3 points a game and 4.1 rebounds, both career highs. And his rebounding numbers have never been super high, mainly because he's always blocking out the opponent's best rebounder and allowing guys like Luke (and Robin/Nik in previous seasons) to snag boards. He's also up to nearly 30 minutes a game, which is definitely a high for him. He's also averaging over a block a game and is only one block away from matching his previous season high, so he's definitely on track to shatter that mark. He's even averaging over an assist a game.
But most impressive of all, in my mind, has been his improved shooting touch from the free throw line. He's shooting over 70% this year, after being right around 50% for his whole career. This improved stroke has allowed Rev to play him more minutes late in the game, and it's great to see him hitting front ends of one-and-ones and all of that.
We're lucky to have him and he's having an awesome senior season thus far. Way to go Kramer!

Re: Big Ups to Kramer
An interesting stat is that we have Won all the games in which he has played 32 minutes or more.

Yeah, he's been working on his free throws, he says he doesn't want his grandpa in AZ to go to the hospital with heart problems if he misses too many during crucial ones at the charity stripe....

GUYS-isn't a nice luxury to have A 6' 10" 270lb xperienced center who knows the program to come off the bench & bruise up the opposition so we can work our other tiny 6'10" skilled freshman center in gradually so he doesn't lose confidence with the speed & power that's required of a good d-1 program...and give Bailey a chance to redshirt, work with coach Scott in the weight room so the new bigs next year won't be so new after all.... We are improving for many years to come..

Re: Big Ups to Kramer
Agreed on Kramer's free throws this season I know that I've quit wincing when he comes to the line late in the game. With his aggressive play hesgoing to get fouled and hhe has been coming thru.
If we can only get Bill Johnson to stop saaying so and so "is really hitting his free throws" when the step to the line. A sure jinx.

Re: Big Ups to Kramer
Agree wholeheartedly. Kramer has been awesome. Love watching him play and get the dirty work done. And then top it off with a sweet looking stuff.
Speaking of which, I have noticed that Kramer has a little more bounce in his leap this year. Good for him, and just another sign of his hard work.
One "atta boy" for you, Kramer!

Re: Big Ups to Kramer
Lost his bounce sophomore year, because of too fast too soon upper body muscle gain, sore knees all yr with extra 20's pounds of muscle...notice how Luke its not the only shot blocker in the PILOTS middle this year???
Cant wait for Sacre, Harris, Kelly O.and Dower to come to town in Jan for Kramer, Luke, Jasonn, Big Red, to show them how less talent vs better coaching pans out..

I don't agree that Gonzaga is necessarily less talented
