Snowmageddon !!!
Channel 6 called it. We are doomed.
The city will collapse under the weight of 3-7 inches of snow over the next couple of days.
Snowflakes were seen on the handrail on the terwilliger overpass.
Stay tuned.

Re: Snowmageddon !!!
I thought this was Snowpocalypse?
What is the Vegas line that it actually happens this time? And who will be the poor rookie TV reporter that gets Troutdale duty?
I did stock up on snacks and beer, just in case...

Re: Snowmageddon !!!
I'm sure they said Snowmageddon.
The rookie that gets the Troutdale truck stop duty always gets the short end.
The forecast has already been modified. By the end of the broadcast it is now 1-4 inches.
But a new twist .... It will be the coldest February week since the 1960's
high 20's
I hope the beer on the porch doesn't freeze.

Re: Snowmageddon !!!
But you will have to trudge through all that snow....
The roads will be impassable...
And the beer could be frozen.

Re: Snowmageddon !!!
I just hope it doesn't start while people are still at work. Driving in the snow is no problem, but getting around all those abandoned cars can be a real problem.
Just to be on the safe side, I would at least put that beer in an ice chest. I would hate to see your PTE go to waste.

Re: Snowmageddon !!!
I have read that freezing beer is no problem. In fact, that was a suggestion for camping to keep your cooler cold longer; pre-freeze your beer.

No problem if you drink PBR, maybe, but we are talking PTE!!!!
I'm not risking a compromised hop experience. I have resolved to drink it all before P-Nut can get here, and before the beer gets lost under the snow drifts.

Re: Snowmageddon !!!
Hey! One has to plan for these natural disasters.
I think I saw a snowflake. My wife says it was dryer lint, which might explain why it didn't melt when I brought it indoors.

Day 2 of Snowmageddon. The city has to be commended.
Just got back from PIFF, and the road crews are doing a grand job of keeping the drifts off the road.

Re: Snowmageddon !!!
I hope everyone has safely survived the massive snowfall this morning...
(PPS closed? Really?! For this?!)
Of course the weather people will say we "dodged a bullet", not "we blew the forecast"...

Re: Snowmageddon !!!
KOIN had a report from Pioneer Square on the "storm".
They went on and on about the crisis with a sea of red brick pavement in the background.
Are they just goofing on us?

Re: Snowmageddon !!!
Today we probably got double the snow you folks got on snowmageddon and you know what they are calling it on the news.
"a trace"
And I don't think anyone has chained up their automobile yet.

The middle of a natural disaster is snow time to take chances.
