Do you have a line on some cheap places to stay?
Too bad DTR isn't still up there to host us all!

Well, at one time there was a special rate at the Silver Cloud Inn for UP fans, but when I called today I was told that rate was no longer available. Now it will cost you $149 for a King room and $159 for a Double Bed room PLUS tax! The closest to the Alaska Arena and cheapest I could find on Travelocity is the Travelodge Inn for $96 TOTAL for a King room located at 4725 25th Ave. NE.
More importantly, where's a good sports bar to watch the Oregon/Stanford football game at 5:00pm on Saturday the 12th? You can bet Rev will be there!

The Silver Cloud deal wasn't much of a deal...$129/ per night was the rate that I got. I'm planning on checking the college football game(s) out at the Ram or the Big City Brewery in the U district.

I'm sure my parents would love a bunch of derelicts showing up on their front porch... (Ask R54 about the last time that happened)
But uh, if they ever schedule a home and away with BC or BU I'm .5 miles from one arena, and a 15-20 minute T ride from the other....
Rev, if you are reading this... PLEEEEEAAAASE?!?!?!

You're near BU? Well, if you feel like it you could volunteer to write up some game reports for the Midmajority. You don't have to be good and you can do as many or as few as you want.DaTruRochin wrote:blacksheep wrote:Do you have a line on some cheap places to stay?

Anyone know if there is an occupy Seattle camp I could join?
Actually, I did see some in the $75 range. I probably won't make it to Monday's game, but might for the other two.

OK, here's the deal, you can spend $66 per night for a room at the Travelodge North and have to drive from the pubs/game for 10-15 minutes and 5 or 6 miles up I-5, or you can pay $96 a night at the Travelodge University and walk one tenth of a mile from the pubs or about .9 mile from the game. The pubs I'm talking about are the ones already mentioned by Woodless, the Big Time Brewing Pub and Ram Restaurant/Pub, both on University Way.
I'm parking and walking! Saturday and Sunday for me too. (FYI: Monday's game against UW is on Root TV at 8pm)

I guess that I planned my trip to NYC at the wrong time of the year. The gathering at Montlake Alehouse for the UW game a few years ago was great. Go Pilots!

Re: Seattle Tournament Nov. 12 - Nov. 14
With all the excitement of the Women’s Soccer team making it to the NCAA’s and the Men’s Soccer team looking to advance with wins at home against USF and Santa Clara this weekend, we can’t overlook the need to get LOUD in Seattle when the Men’s Basketball team opens the regular season with three games. Yes, 1130am for the first game is way too early for most of us, but we should be too excited to sleep after the game in Corvallis.
Pomeroy says we’ll have tight games against Florida Atlantic (winning 67-66) and Georgia State (winning 65-62), but that we’ll get blown out by number 39 UW 80-67. It’s our task to make sure we win all three games! According to Woodless in his original post, the Alumni Office is doing its part in getting us fired up – see you there!

From Rev Wednesday evening: “Waterford (calf) was able to practice today so probable. Riley (ankle) has yet to practice (but is close) so questionable.”

That's a big win over a damn good team! Didn't realize that FAU was a 20-win team last year.
70-65 for the Pilots is the final.
