Congrats
Can't help but think that whoever wrote that piece is math challenged. 22 and 19 is not a 22 pt average.

PORTLAND, Ore. --- The West Coast Conference has handed out two Women’s Basketball Player of the Week Awards this season, and Portland Pilots senior Natalie Day has earned both of them. Day nabbed her second straight player of the week honor after averaging 19.3 points and 6.0 rebounds as the Pilots went 2-1 at the Rainbow Wahine Classic last weekend.
Day, who shot 54.8 percent from the floor while in Honolulu, Hawai’i, opened the tourney with 19 points and seven boards as the Pilots defeated host Hawai'i 82-64 on Friday night.
Then after scoring 18 points against No. 18 DePaul on Saturday, Day had perhaps her best performance on Sunday during a dramatic 59-58 win over San Diego State. With Portland trailing by one in the closing seconds, Day ripped down an offensive rebound and was fouled on the put-back try. She calmly made both free throws with just 2.8 seconds showing on the clock to lift the Pilots to the one-point win. She scored 21 points against the Aztecs and corralled seven boards.

Re: Natalie Day is WCC POW
Now it is for the third week in a row that Natalie is awarded the WCC Player of the Week award.
A 22 point game and a double-double with 19 rebounds will do that.

Re: Natalie Day is WCC POW
I was going to mention that she has a bit of "edge" to her game this year.
It's definitely making a difference.

Re: Natalie Day is WCC POW
As Geez normally provides the Natalie Day information on PN, I've been waiting and waiting for him to let us know that Natalie was rightfully selecetd WCC Player of the Month of Novemember. But, as he hasn't, I will:
Portland Pilots senior forward Natalie Day, who averaged 20.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game during November, was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Month. Day also nabbed all three league player of the week awards handed out in November.
Day becomes the first UP player to be named the conference’s player of the month since Jamie Medley earned that distinction in February 2005.
The native of Germantown, Md., shot 54.9 percent from the field to help the Pilots open the season with a 5-3 record. She scored at least 20 points four times, and she had a game with 19 rebounds, which are the most by a Pilot during a single game since 1998. Those 19 boards came in a win against Montana on Nov. 27, during which Day also scored 14 points for her first double-double of the season.
Day scored 25 points, on 11-for-13 shooting, in a win over UC Irvine on Nov. 13, and became a 1,000 career-point scorer during the same game. She ended the month as the conference’s top scorer, while ranking 30th nationally.
