Canada Cyprus Cup

Our other National team defeated Scotland today 5-1 at the Cyprus Cup opener.

Sophie got her first two goal game for the CNT. The game winner was on a rebound about 10 yards out. The second was on a breakaway off a feed from Christine.

Christine followed up with her own score on a long curling shot off the post( of course)

Canada wins its second match against Italy 2:1 on strikes from Sinclair and Gayle (in stoppage time).

Christine now has 131 goals, which puts her ahead of Christine Lilly and third on the all time list behind Hamm(158) and Wamback(132).


Canada tops their group right now.

Canada beat the Netherlands 1:0 to win their group in the Cyprus cup.

They apparently will face France, which beat England 3-0 today


France beat the netherlands 2-1 in mid February in France, and both their fifa rankings and Massey Elo rankings seem pretty close.


Should be a good match.

Any word on video/streaming for tomorrows final? I've done some searching without any success.
