WCC & Alcohol
Why doesn't the WCC serve alcohol at the Orleans Arena? I thought it was an NCAA rule but I was assured yesterday that the beer would be flowing next weekend for the WAC Tournament at the Orleans.

They didn't serve last year either. In light of your photo, I say, "Touche."

I think it was a WCC rule; they have never served beer in the Orleans Arena for this tournament. I cant say I blame them, either...

The NCAA says you can't have alcohol in the arena ( however that is defined is another matter, but it surely includes your seat). The WCC says not in public spaces.

Re: WCC & Alcohol
I only chose this thread to get your interest...sadly, it is not about alcohol, or maybe it is.
One of the schools mentioned as desiring to join the WCC upon BYU's departure is Cal Baptist.
I don't know all the reasons the WCC would pursue or admit a school into the conference, but after watching the Lancers easily take down Pac-12 Washington last night, 73-64, they get my vote.
Now, about playing basketball and drinking beer on Sunday...

Sounds like an invitation to sip single malt.
