Tukwila: Sounders vs Colorado Rapids

We visited my Sounders-loving family over the weekend and stayed on for Monday night in Tukwila.

Really fun to see the players in action again, with a crowd not unlike Merlo in size and volume. The game was also one-sided like some we've seen at Merlo - the shot difference was 26 -2. The Sounders had their National Team players except no Megan Rapinoe (boo- she was out of town) and Sydney Leroux (injured). It did get rough with loads of tugging on Morgan, and 2 late hits on Solo. Perez & Morgan really stood out - just faster and more fluid with the ball than anyone around them.

Fun to see Keelin Winters playing again - so strong & controlled in the middle - but she subbed out in the second half. The Sounders were running their offense through Cox at left D. Every time Solo got the ball she sent it off to the left. Steph looked like she was having fun, lots of possession and some lovely crosses.
