WCC adding 4-team baseball Championship Series in 2014
This becomes possible with the addition of Pacific.
From the WCC annual meetings list of changes for 2013-2014:

This will be a great showcase for WCC Baseball... hopefully the new River Campus venue will host this tournament at some point. I wonder, with 10 teams, if we will be divided into 2 divisions, with the top 2 from each advancing to the Championship Series...?
From the WCC annual meetings list of changes for 2013-2014:
Approval of Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton, California as the host site of the four-team 2013 West Coast Conference Baseball Championships.

The NCAA says you need 12 teams to have divisional playoffs
The site is a good one, though. Stockton is one of the locations that claims to be Mudville in "Casey at the Bat", and the old teams played on an island (Banner Island?)

However, residents of Stockton, California — which was known for a time as Mudville prior to incorporation in 1850 — also lay claim to being the inspiration for the poem. In 1887, Thayer covered baseball for The San Francisco Examiner — owned by his Harvard classmate William Randolph Hearst — and is said to have covered the local California League team, the Stockton Ports. For the 1902 season, after the poem became popular, Stockton's team was renamed the Mudville Nine. The team reverted to the Mudville Nine moniker for the 2000 and 2001 seasons. The Visalia Rawhide, another California League team, currently keep Mudville alive by playing in Mudville jerseys on June 3 each year.[7]
