Former PU coach, Marty Wilson, is now an assistant to Wyking Jones at Cal! Good, Marty will be a big help with the Bears.

Meanwhile, Coach Lorenzo Romar has landed 4 All-CIF Southern Section recruits, including Andre Ball from CIF Champion Chino Hills. Ball was apparently very high on UP's list, but chose to stay closer to home....and near the beach. Rolling Eyes

Malibu is being evacuated as a wildfire (the Woolsey fire) threatens the area. PU students are sheltering-in-place.

Another transfer portal entry, Victor Ohia Obioha, a 6'9" 220# center from Nigeria. Played in 29 games backing up Jan Zidek, averaging 16 mpg and 5 ppg. A senior, he has one year to play

Also, Kendall Munson, a 6'7" 220 sophomore forward from Seattle entered the portal a week ago. Played in 30 games. Has three years to play.

Victor is from Nigeria, but took up basketball when he came to high school in the US in 2015.

I watched him play at Hillcrest HS in Riverside, California when I was working there, and recommended Porter take a look at him. The staff watched him, liked him, and he verbally agreed to come to UP, but literally 30 minutes later Romar came to his home and Victor changed his mind.

IMO, he did not get the development at PU that he deserved.

Kendall Munson is transferring to Portland State.

Michael Ajayi has entered the portal. That is 6 of their top 8 players in minutes played, and their top 4 scorers. New coach will have a total rebuild.

Moore signed with Montana, Pitre with Sac. State, and Stansberry with Western Carolina.
