One wonders if they didn't reverse the listings with the varsity boats.
On more boat racing about now(novice 8+?). Results when they come in.
Great day for UP so far.

Re: Covered Bridge Regatta
The Varsity Four had to race into a big headwind, which explains their time.
Races were delayed about an hour and a half because of wind squalls. It was apparently a bit dicey out there.
Calm now. Races resumed.

Re: Covered Bridge Regatta
The novice 8+ boat scratched in their event.
UP finishes with two firsts, a second, and a third for the day, wich might get them the team trophy for the second year in a row.
well done, ladies.

Heard the novice 8 didn't get to race because of a referee error at the start…..hmm, I guess we’ll learn more later (or not).PurpleGeezer wrote:The novice 8+ boat scratched in their event.

And the comeback:
@UP_Rowing: @CoachReveno I've been coaching for 28 years, have never been called for a technical foul. You've never coached in the rain. Want to trade?

Re: Covered Bridge Regatta
The official story is up.
http://www.portlandpilots.com/news/2013/4/13/ROW_0413132445.aspx
I see the first four rowers all came out of the first eight boat.
And it looks like we got the right number of rowers in all the boats this time
