UP vs. UW, Sat Dec. 15

Is anyone else making the trip up to Seattle to watch this Clash of the Purple Titans? (Not my words... that's taken from a UP alumni flyer thing!) Or any Seattlite Pilots going to go?

Tip Off is at 3 PM at Hec Ed... they are also hosting an alumni function before the game beginning at noon at the Montlake Ale House... there will be free food there any way. And, judging by the name of the place, some brews as well. Should be a good time... here's the info cut-and-pasted:

Tired of heading south to Portland to stay connected to the University? No worries - we're bringing The Bluff to you! Our Pilot men's basketball team is traveling North to face the Washington Huskies Saturday, Dec. 15.

Meet us at noon for a pre-game Fan Fest at Seattle's Montlake Ale House (2307 24th Ave E at E Lynn St., 206-726-5968). Get pumped for the clash of the purple titans with free appetizers, soft drinks, and Pilot gear.

After the Fan Fest, plan to watch the game courtside at UW's Bank of America Arena. Tip off is at 3 p.m. in the Hec Edmundson Pavilion.

Following the game, give prayerful thanks with other alumni at a Mass celebrated by Rev. Thomas Doyle, C.S.C., vice president for University relations. The Pilot alumni Mass will be celebrated at the UW Newman Center in the Prince of Peace Chapel at 5:30 p.m.

Good luck against UW. We have them on the 18th, so hopefully you guys can wear them down a bit. :-)

or if we win they will be pissed about it and come after you guys?

For those of you who can't make it up to the game, Comcast's TV planner shows the game on FSN4 (Comcast ch 34) at 3:00pm on Saturday.

So stock up with an extra beer ration and some pork rinds and enjoy the game!

It is killing me to miss this game... I want to see our purple mash their so called purple....
