So, we go up against a senior-laden team from a good program that went to the tournament last year, build up a lead of 14, but then allow them to come within a possession, so the game was terrible?  It wasn't pretty, but we never even allowed them to tie.  If beating a good conference opponent by 8 where we dominate the boards and suffocate them defensively rates as "terrible", then one wonders what would rate even as "halfway decent" on such a scale.  Top four seed in conference tourney?  Top two?  What would "good" be?  Running the board with double digit margins?

If you watched the game you would've seen how poorly UOP played. Did our defense contribute to some of that? Of course!! But they missed open lay ups, had unforced turnovers, etc. It was a poorly executed game plan on their part… But that's besides the point. The point I was trying to make is that we shouldn't be fooled into thinking that somehow we've righted the ship. This game plan won't work against St Mary's. We cannot win unless we get our guards going early… Just my humble opinion but games like the one against Princeton, lead me to believe I'm correct. If we come out today trying to force the ball inside, and have our guards settling for contested jumpers late in the shot clock, SMU wins by 20.

But if your bar for what constitutes a "good" game is "not even allowing them to tie" then I guess I stand corrected. #gopilots

UP is the only home NOT favored in the WCC today....

The Courtside bet is giving the points. Hope his streak ends.
