UP v Miami
It is almost five on Saturday so I was surprised to see no one had posted about last nights game yet. Has our interest in the team waned to this extent? Hmm
Last night was hard to watch at times. The team had a wonderful possession game but the finishing is not there yet. i truly believe it will come. Holding possession and defending as well as they did last night are great signs for this young young group. Miami had some good chances but they lost their composure and their sportsmanship was disappointing. The ref lost control early.
I think we will be tested by SDS tomorrow. Looking forward to it.

Re: UP v Miami
I agree about tomorrow's game. SDSU has a couple of very fast players, something that the Pilots have had problems with so far this season. it will be a good test.
The game was still available on the Pilots website earlier this afternoon if you would like to watch a replay - assuming it is still out there.

Yes. Yes.
Glad to see they are shooting a little more.
Hopefully they can keep it up against better teams.
Moments of great team play on offense.
Working hard on D.
Luty is phenomenal, in my estimation.
Saw the end of the SDSU game when they started turning it on. Will be a challenge.
So many good players, I like all the freshman.
I want to mention Young. I think she has played 90mins of every game. Perhaps the only player to do so. I didn't see minutes listed in players stats.
She passes as soon as she touches the ball and she always knows where there is an open player.
Not flashy, just solid.
See all you all tomorrow.

Re: UP v Miami
Really enjoy watching them connect on a long series of passes. Would be nice to see some scoring off the corner kicks.
Yeah, I think Young leads the team in minutes played. She always seems to get her passes right to the player or lays it out there so they can run onto it. I don't think we have had that many corner kicks so far this season.
If you didn't read the write up in the school newspaper on three of the players. Here's the page.

Re: UP v Miami
Kendrick is running Young close on minutes played I'd guess.
This is a young team and with no real stars - no national team headliners.
They are figuring out how to play at this level. Nine fresh/sophs starting. Both Kurle and Jeter trying to learn a new position.
It's a work in progress. Waiting to see if leaders emerge.
Friday night was better than Sunday but then Miami isn't as good as Wisconsin.

SDSU
Fans disappoint by not showing up.
Kennedy is moved to forward in the closing minutes, and scores!
Sippel did 90min worth of attacking and defending in 30min.
All the forwards did a good job of pressuring when SDSU got the ball, especially the starting 3.
Pilots were never really out of the game, as they were able to control and attack all afternoon.

The tamales on Friday night were the best food ever at a game.
Someone tell Bon Appetit.
