University of Portland officials plan to make no changes to their policy regarding marijuana use. “As it is against Federal Law and antithetical to our mission, we will continue our current stance of not allowing it on campus in any way,” says Natalie Shank, a student life official at the University of Portland. "One would be hard pressed to find a way to argue that recreational drug use is consistent with the values of the institution or its mission."

The university says it will have to do work to clarify with students that although legal by state law, it will still be a violation of both federal law and university policy and will not be allowed on campus.

It will only be legal for those 21 and over, so most students would not be able to legally use it anyway. Of course, it has never been smoked in the dorms on campus. Rolling Eyes

Just like booze is never drunk by minors on campus.

Since the U serves alcohol to the top tier Pilot Club members, I see no reason for them not to also serve pot. As long as it is sustainably grown, antibiotic free, local, organic, and properly labeled for GMOs.
