Keelin Winters, the Reign captain for its entire history, will retire at the end of the season.

She also played for the Boston breakers in the WPS and the Seattle Sounders, when there was no pro league.

Too bad, I don't think Ellis ever gave her a fair shake for the National team. Ellis apparently doesn't think real holding mids have a place on the team.

Great career anyway, as she lead her team to two supporters shields.

Sad to see her leave the game, she was a great Pilot and was fun to follow in the NWSL.

Keelin got one of Seattle's two goals tonight as  the Reign beat Washington 2-0.

That coupled with the Thorns win keeps the Thorns in the hunt for the supporters cup, as they beat Western NY 3-2.
