Terry Porter sighting
Apparently the Bottle Bill needs promoting and I saw an ad for it as I was browsing the web today featuring Terry Porter in a purple shirt. If you go to the site he is located on the front page also in a purple shirt with the P logo visible. Mouseover/text on the ad said something about former Blazer, Portland Pilots coach and one or two other blurbs. The front page of the site says only that he was a pro basketball player. Could have been better publicity. It's unfortunate that the site doesn't call out he is currently the Pilots head coach. People who don't already recognize the logo won't bother to figure out what it is. I mean...not a lot of people probably visit the bottle recycling website in the first place....but...there it is.

Re: Terry Porter sighting
Ugg. So we've got our coach campaigning for an outdated, archaic government/bureaucratic approach to recycling? Meh.

What's the new Millenium model for keeping the PBR bottles out of the weeds?

I was thinking it, but someone had to say it.

I refuse to return bottles and cans. They get sticky and gross, so I'm not spending my time feeding those machines to get $1.25. With curbside recycling, which wasn't around when the bottle bill was put into law, I don't see a need for the bottle bill.
I have significantly reduced my bottle and can use by quitting soda (it's tough to do when you are as addicted as I was) and brewing my own beer.

Re: Terry Porter sighting
I was in total agreement with you on this blacksheep, until I noted that in addition to Coach Porter, pro barrel racer Darcy LaPier (who wears purple very well) also endorses the bottle bill.....now I'm really conflicted.blacksheep wrote:I refuse to return bottles and cans.
