Pilots Sink Waves
Pilots win 82-78 (I am not so sure that last 3 by Pepp should have counted... but we'll take it). Road W's are key, especially when leading most of this game.
The key stat, Pilots out rebound Pepp 43-32. We knew this would be a strength for us!
Sherrard scores 22, Nik scores 17, Niedermeyer with 16 on 6-8 shooting, including 4-5 from 3!!! Great game Sherrard & Ethan!!
Free throws: Nik had a rough night, but that happens. He'll get back on track.
Sikma continuted to struggle to score with only 4 points, but 8 rebounds. If Sikma starts scoring again... and Stohl & Ito heat up.... watch out.
Lets rip up the Lions on Monday!

Re: Pilots Sink Waves
Congrats. You killed us on the boards and shot real well from 3. It was a very uneasy/disappointing game for Waves fans to watch.

Re: Pilots Sink Waves
Thanks pdine. you have another shot up here. if its like this game, anything could happen.
Both the men's and women's games were pretty similar. Bild a lead, lose it, fight back, and hold on at the end.
Now we have to do something like it against LMU monday night.

Tonight's game
Pdine, I was able to watch on your nice free webcast... thats pretty cool. Hopefully you will get back on track for Monday's game. Your guys will continue to mature and will be a tough team come San Diego tourney time!
Agreed on LMU, Geez; they didnt look so bad against the Zags. Lets hope they are good and worn out after staying with GU for a while...

Re: Pilots Sink Waves
Very nice win...would be good to see the Pilots move up a few spots in the WCC Standings this year.

Re: Pilots Sink Waves
I am curious, did anyone have trouble last nite with the "live audio" on the
game with the Waves.
The first half came in fine , but the second half I kept getting disconnects.
Could get the game back, but would disconnect after five seconds or so.
Any comme nts ?

If I had to guess, I'd say that your connection was dodgy. you can test it by googleing "Connection speed test", or use this one
Speakeasy speed test

Re: Pilots Sink Waves
I watched the Pepp video feed... it was pretty good actually. And the announcers were much better than our friends, the brothers, up at UW....

Re: Pilots Sink Waves
Ah, the UW announcers... I wish I would have heard them.
Although I did hear the LMU guy's soccer announcers and they were absolutely awful... I think the guy was roommates with some of the players or something.
Agreed on the Pep video though - not bad at all!

Re: Pilots Sink Waves
The LMU announcers were kind of funny, while the UW announcers were just plain annoying. Wasnt it the LMU guys that were talking to the refs during the game?! Who wouldnt want that job!
I will never forget the LMU guy mumbling under his breath, in a whiny tone, as we were up big on the Lions: "Come on, dont blow us out..." And I believe we did in fact do that...
Now, back to hoops, lets blow out the LMU men's hoops team, too!

Re: Pilots Sink Waves
True enough... that guy was pretty funny and was definitely harmless. He was just the ultimate homer, and I suppose I can live with that.
Now... as for that bum who did a lot of the soccer and baseball games for UP last year... that guy had problems.
