Coaching Candidates...
I know we aren't looking for a new coach yet, but I thought I'd start a discussion in advance...not sure how far in advance
UP needs someone with head coaching experience to get the train back on track. Given that we are playing Pepperdine tonight, a no brainer for consideration would be Ken Bone. He had great success as head coach at Portland State in a short amount of time (two NCAA tourney appearances at a school that has no support from the administration), has Pac12 head coaching experience, spent time with Gonzaga and Montana after losing the WSU job, and is now helping turnaround the Pepperdine program as an assistant to Lorenzo Romar. I hear he still wants to be a head coach. That said, coach Geving would likely be his first hire given their past relationship at PSU...which i am sure would help in the transition...and from what I've seen, would be a great coach to keep around. Hire Bone and you'd likely get not one but two seasoned head coaches assuming he hires Geving, both of whom know the WCC ropes. Bone is truly a no brainer! Shall we hold up some banners at the game tonight?!

Give the players credit. They played their hearts out.
